Ericeira is a tourist town located 35 km north-west of the Centre of Lisbon, 18 km from Sintra and the 8 km from Mafra. It is a Portuguese parish in the municipality of Mafra.
 
The region of Ericeira is well known in terms of surfing due to the quality of the waves, which can be appreciated by all surfers. The town provides access  to very prestigious surf beaches including world famous Ribeira d´ Ilhas, Coxos Beach in Ribamar amongst many others.
